Senior Pastor

Rev. Jim Hancock, a native of the Tupelo, MS region, was blessed to be raised as a “D.K.” (also known as a “Deacon’s Kid”!).

His path in ministry began at West Jackson Street Baptist Church in Tupelo, where he delivered his first sermon at the age of only 15. He then graduated from Tupelo High School before embarking on a journey that led him to Phoenix, Nashville, and eventually to Boston.  In the early 2000s, he made his way back to his generational family home in Baldwyn, MS.

He has served in leadership in the Congregational Methodist Church on various boards for several years.

Bro. Jim’s mission is to demonstrate love and obedience to God in every season of life, diligently engage in the study of Scriptures, cherish the relationships that God brings into his life, and show love to others in a way that reveals the existence of a loving God.

Married to Sheryl Hancock, he takes pride in being a father to three daughters (residing in Huntsville, AL – Fulton, MS – and Booneville, MS) and three grandsons (ages 1, 5, and 11) from his two eldest daughters.
